As a growing organization, we are always looking for ways to optimize our ways of working. As part of that process, we are looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our Finance Team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will join our VP of FP&A in supporting internal teams and leaders with making data-based financial decisions, building commercial and financial skills across the organization, and fostering a risk/reward decision-making mindset.
How you'll make an impact
As FP&A Analyst at Planday, you will support our VP of FP&A with shaping financial strategies and driving data-based decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure financial goals are aligned with Planday’s long-term vision.
What you’ll do
- Support the VP of FP&A by providing insights and financial modeling to assess the implications of business decisions.
- Continuously improve data quality, processes, and the use of systems to enhance financial operations.
- Generate insights to recommend operational improvements, optimize performance, and adapt to changing business conditions.
- Support on yearly financial deliverables, including the creation of the annual budget and periodic reporting.
- Assisting in the month-end reporting cycle and financial close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Success looks like
- Financial Expertise: You are able to independently interpret financial statements, KPIs, and ratios.
- Analytical Skills: You are analysing complex financial data and providing actionable insights to the teams and stakeholders you work with.
- Communication Skills: You are consistently translating financial data into clear, actionable information for non-finance stakeholders.
What you’ll bring with you
- Experience in SaaS business models.
- Expertise in spreadsheets and handling large datasets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Solid understanding of P&L and Balance Sheets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a global environment.
