JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Plant Controller in performing a variety of accounting functions related to financial analysis, cost accounting functions, month end financial closing and financial reporting.

  • The Financial Analyst is Responsible for processing Payroll
  • Reconciling Temp payments and invoices
  • Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary
  • Assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations
  • Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Support internal and external audit activities
  • Assists in month-end financial closings
  • Participates in annual Physical Inventory and performs Physical Inventory reconciliations.
  • Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional related duties and analyses as directed by the Controller or Plant Manager

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 1 year experience or Equivalent Additional Experience if no BA.
  • Fluent in MS Office applications, advanced in MS Excel. Experience with SAP and Hyperion applications preferred.
  • Experience with ADP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex or ambiguous situations; ability to work under deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings by verbal or presentation format.
