JOB DESCRIPTION
Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Plant Controller in performing a variety of accounting functions related to financial analysis, cost accounting functions, month end financial closing and financial reporting.
- The Financial Analyst is Responsible for processing Payroll
- Reconciling Temp payments and invoices
- Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary
- Assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Support internal and external audit activities
- Assists in month-end financial closings
- Participates in annual Physical Inventory and performs Physical Inventory reconciliations.
- Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Perform additional related duties and analyses as directed by the Controller or Plant Manager
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 1 year experience or Equivalent Additional Experience if no BA.
- Fluent in MS Office applications, advanced in MS Excel. Experience with SAP and Hyperion applications preferred.
- Experience with ADP is a plus.
- Familiarity with Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex or ambiguous situations; ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings by verbal or presentation format.
