Position Summary: The Financial Analyst will assist the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in various tasks related to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in FP&A and provides an opportunity to learn about financial operations within AccuWeather. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the FP&A team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 
  • Help maintain financial models and databases used for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. 
  • Assist in analyzing financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Participate in the forecasting and month-end processes by gathering data, preparing reporting templates, and performing variance analysis. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect relevant information for financial analysis and reporting. 
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and analyses as assigned by the FP&A Manager. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from an accredited institution. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. Understanding of financial statements and performance metrics. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with forecasting and financial modeling is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and grow in finance. 
  • Relevant internship(s) or coursework related to financial analysis, budgeting, or data analysis.
