The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, monitoring business performance, and providing insights that support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making. The role works closely with accounting, management, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, budgets, and business performance data.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Monitor revenues, expenses, cash flow, and key financial metrics.
- Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
- Compare actual results against budgets and forecasts and explain significant variances.
- Support management with financial analysis for business decisions and strategic planning.
- Gather, organize, and validate financial information from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with accounting and other departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with financial software, ERP systems, or business intelligence tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
