About the Role
This position carries the day-to-day transactional load of two entities so that the finance function closes on time and on accurate data. It is deliberately weighted towards high-volume data entry and reconciliation, with a structured path into reporting and analysis as the routine work becomes reliable.
We are hiring at junior analyst level rather than bookkeeper level because the work requires someone who understands the accounting behind each entry — able to spot what is wrong, not only where to type it — and who can grow into the analysis this office will need over the next two years.
Responsibilities
- High-volume entry of AP and AR invoices, payments and receipts into ERPNext, to a daily cut-off.
- Maintain supplier and customer master data and ledgers — accurate, de-duplicated and complete.
- Process expense claims and per diems, checking each against policy before entry.
- Digitise and file supporting documentation so every entry traces back to source within seconds.
- Keep the two entities' books cleanly separated, with no cross-contamination between Egypt and KSA records.
- Daily bank entry and monthly bank reconciliation across all accounts.
- Operate bank portals, including payment upload, approval routing and status tracking.
- Supplier statement reconciliation and clean-up of aged AP and AR balances.
- Prepare Egyptian VAT and withholding tax records for the external tax agent — records preparation, not filing.
- Support intercompany recharges between Egypt and KSA, including the 50% cost recharge.
- Build and maintain the Excel schedules that support the monthly close.
- Prepare recurring management reports: cost by project, resource utilisation, AP and AR ageing.
- Draft budget-versus-actual variance commentary at cost-centre level.
- Support audit and external requests with clean, referenced, self-explaining workings.

Qualifications
- 2–3 years post-graduation experience in accounting or finance, in a role with real transactional ownership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
- Data entry: demonstrated accuracy and throughput on high-volume entry. This is the bulk of the job in year one and will be tested.
- Accounting: sound double-entry grounding — can explain the journal behind a transaction and identify a misposting without being prompted.
- Excel: to reconciliation standard — lookups, pivots, SUMIFS, text-to-columns, and structured cleaning of raw system exports.
- Arabic native; English written and spoken to business standard, sufficient for reporting to Riyadh.
- 2–3 years in a management consultancy or professional services firm "Preferred"
- ERPNext experience; otherwise a comparable ERP (SAP Business One, Odoo, NetSuite, Dynamics) with a demonstrated ability to learn a new system quickly.
- Exposure to a multi-entity or cross-border group, particularly an Egypt–GCC structure.
- Working familiarity with Egyptian VAT and withholding tax mechanics.
- Part-qualified or actively studying ACCA, CMA or equivalent.

- Sound double-entry accounting knowledge and ability to identify mispostings
- Excel proficiency, including lookups, pivots, SUMIFS, text-to-columns, and structured data cleaning
- Native Arabic and business-standard written and spoken English
- 2–3 years of experience in a management consultancy or professional services firm
- ERPNext experience or comparable ERP experience with ability to learn new systems quickly
- Exposure to multi-entity or cross-border groups, particularly Egypt-GCC structures
- Working familiarity with Egyptian VAT and withholding tax mechanics
- Part-qualified or actively studying ACCA, CMA, or equivalent
