About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

As a financial analyst at Marvell, you’ll work closely with the business unit you support to provide meaningful data analysis. Your team has a certain budget for resources and you’ll help them decide how to use that budget most effectively. Should we get more new lab equipment or hire another team member? Are we on track with the forecast? Will this new product deliver a positive return on investment given its costs? You’re the one providing the analysis to help your team decide.

What You Can Expect

  • Play a pivotal role in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for the Operations organization within Marvell.

  • Drive strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Partner with Operations leaders to align financial strategies with business goals and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.

  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to drive business performance.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimize financial performance.

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations

  • Capex forecasting: both R&D and MOH

  • Track the budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing cycle of Operations, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, accruals, and forecasting.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Finance.

  • Have a basic understanding of Excel and PowerPoint and how we would use them for financial planning and analysis.

  • Be a naturally analytical person who genuinely enjoys working with numbers and working within a team.

  • Be able to prioritize tasks using your best judgment. You will receive requests that vary in complexity and urgency.

  • Be willing to learn. Working in finance at a high-tech company will involve learning a lot of new information: the acronyms, the business cycles, and more. There’s a definite learning curve and embracing that with a positive attitude will be very helpful.
