Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000

Location: 335 Steelcase Rd East (This position is hybrid)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform daily and period-end accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL review.
  • Manage assigned areas of the month-end close process.
  • Perform monthly financial statements and variance analysis to support management decisions.
  • Maintain and analyze fixed asset and lease schedules.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank and intercompany transactions, investments, and loans.
  • Manage foreign currency accounts, revaluations, and FX adjustments.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysis.
  • Prepare year-end audit working papers and support the audit process.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, treasury, and corporate credit card management.
  • Support U.S. state sales tax implementation, reconciliations, e-filing, and ongoing compliance.
  • Support invoice review and approval in accordance with company policies and controls.
  • Assist with EHT and WSIB filings and Statistics Canada surveys.
  • Maintain inventory GL accounts and perform inventory, reprint, and waste analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and NetSuite reports/Saved Searches.
  • Leverage Claude AI and approved tools for financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams on finance digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls.
  • Perform other finance-related duties and special projects assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Major in Accounting or Finance, an accounting designation or working towards one.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role.
  • Considerable experience in data management including assessing data quality, classifying, and organizing data, and providing insights and recommendations from data analysis.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fully computerized environment including advanced Excel skills, proficient in other MS office applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience of treasury, pricing and cost analysis is an asset.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, people skills and problem-solving skills
