Our Finance headquarters are located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. As a Financial Analyst you will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

What You’ll Do
- Perform professional accounting work in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements
- Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy
- Preparation of monthly journal entries
- Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis ensuring proper support and procedures are maintained
- Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required.
- Participate in interim and year-end audit activities as required
- Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.
Position Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 3 years experience as an accounting or finance analyst or other related experience
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
- Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite applications
Preferred Characteristics:
- Working in an aviation/aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred
- Cost accounting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle system an asset
- Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement
- Ability to work independently - multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
