Job Description: 

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst - WAM to join our team at MBPS.

Key Responsibilities: 

Primary Responsibilities (80%):

  • Prepare cash/suspense account reconciliations and aging analysis; investigate breaks and manage outstanding receipts.
  • Collaborate with Treasury to clear suspense accounts for multiple entities.
  • Process wire requests for intercompany payments and third-party transactions.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly reporting for MAM and Manulife groups.
  • Perform controls to ensure compliance with company policies.

Project and Process Improvement (20%):

  • Collaborate on special projects and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

Shared Accountabilities:

  • Assist WAM NA A&R teams with monthly and quarterly activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to business teams for cash processing insights.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities within GWAM and Finance domains.

Qualifications: 

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; accounting designation preferred.

Experience: At least 2 years in accounting operations and/or audit.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficient in double-entry bookkeeping.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables); MS Office suite proficiency.

Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
