IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst Sr. I to perform financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, reconciliation and other related financial activities for IDEXX’s Livestock, Poultry and Dairy business segment. The Livestock, Poultry and Dairy (LPD) segment operates worldwide providing diagnostic tests and related instrumentation services to manage the health status of livestock and poultry, improve producer efficiency, and ensure the quality and safety of milk.
This position is hybrid with a approximately 3 days per week onsite at our office in Scarborough, ME.
What You Will Be Doing:
· Work closely with LPD business leaders and functional teams to support and advance FP&A globalization and strategic LPD worldwide initiatives, including operating segment growth in high potential international markets with a focus on expanding our South American market.
· Develop budgets and financial projections for LPD financial statements from revenues to operating margins and key balance sheet items
· Develop various analyses, reports and presentations on required information for South American growth strategies that reflect country-specific regulatory processes in connection with importing and marketing products in Brazil
· Participate in LPD strategic planning and budgeting processes, providing financial information, analysis and support
· Support period-end close processes and reconciliation of internal LPD accounts
· Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual LPD financial statements and reports
· Develop financial models for LPD business initiatives such as product launches and geographical expansion and proposed marketing programs, incorporating market specific factors such as tax codes, import/export costs, and international shipping nuances
· Utilize multiple IDEXX enterprise systems for financial information retrieval and analyses worldwide; identifies gaps in controls and supports development of approaches to mitigate exposure
· Identify trends and developments in the livestock industry
· Present findings to management.
What You Need To Succeed:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a closely related field
· 3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and compiling and analyzing financial statements, information and reports for a company operating in the South American livestock health industry.
