Job Summary
In this position you will provide high quality analytic services to support our team in managing the Budget and Strategic Planning process and maintaining the Budget, Financial Planning and Capital Platform.Also, you will provide high quality analytic services for the monthly close meeting and to provide Central assumptions needed for forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
- Experience in accounting or finance 3-5 years required
- Experience in a role within a large healthcare organization 3-5 years preferred
System-Wide Budget and Forecast Coordination: Lead and support the coordination of the annual Mass General Brigham (MGB) system-wide budget and forecast processes. Collaborate with your team and with the local budget offices to ensure timely and accurate financial planning across the organization.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify performance drivers, challenges, and opportunities. Interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
Forecast Maintenance and Plan Updates: Maintain and update financial plans, incorporating centrally calculated fields and assumptions. Ensure alignment with organizational standards and strategic goals.
Multiyear Financial Projections and Capital Capacity Management: Coordinate the multiyear financial planning cycle, including balance sheet and cash flow projections. Utilize Strata and other tools to generate long-term financial forecasts.
Executive-Level Presentations: Assist in the development of presentations for senior management, clearly explaining business evolution and financial performance. Present financial information and recommendations in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
Monthly Close Support: Collaborate with the team to provide financial analysis and presentations as part of the monthly close process. Ensure accuracy and clarity in reporting to senior leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep understanding of healthcare finance and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Excel skill set a requirement; Microsoft Suite, including Word and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team and client collaboration, and customer service focus
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Previous experience in Corporate Budget/Financial, Capital, and/or Strategic Planning /Business Analysis Departments major plus
- Knowledge of the Healthcare Patient Revenue reimbursement fundamentals is a plus
