This role extends beyond traditional analysis, requiring expertise in financial modeling, data modeling, and applied AI tools including Copilot and LLM-based solutions. The position builds and maintains models, dashboards, and reporting that translate complex data into actionable insights, while developing AI-enabled workflows that improve forecasting accuracy, reduce cycle time, and enhance decision-making.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with three days on‑site and two days remote. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our corporate office in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, CA.
What You'll Do- Completes monthly, quarterly and year end reporting.
- Reports, analyzes, and interprets financial and operating data for business units.
- Maintains standardized reporting and analysis that explains key variances, trends, and performance drivers.
- Develops and maintains sophisticated financial forecasting models and dashboards.
- Ability to develop and manage complex models, spreadsheets, and databases, KPIs.
- Ability to project cash and working capital needs.
- Familiar with Investment Returns & Waterfalls (IRR, Multiples, NPV).
- Understanding of asset valuation & various proforma models (DCF).
- Completes other adhoc projects as assigned to aid management and investors in strategy and investment decisions.
- Responsible for creation of presentations for senior management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance and results.
- Must be detailed, organized and a strong team player.
- Completes company required training by established deadline.

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Economics is required; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant Financial Analyst experience; real estate industry experience is a plus.
- Experience in Adaptive Planning, Tableau and multidimensional databases a plus.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex financial models used for forecasting, variance analysis, and executive decision support, including clear documentation and structured assumptions.
- Proven ability to convert large or complex data sets into actionable insights through dashboards, KPI reporting, and concise executive-ready narratives and visuals.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment (monthly/quarterly cycles), balancing accuracy, speed, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong financial analysis knowledge: Applies financial concepts to interpret results, identify drivers, and explain what changed, why it changed, and what it means for decisions.
- Complex financial modeling (forecasting and scenario design): Builds structured models with transparent assumptions, sensitivity testing, and outputs that stakeholders can trust and use.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office capability: Uses advanced functions, pivoting, automation techniques, and clear formatting to produce reliable, repeatable analyses and executive-ready materials.
- Financial statement fluency: Understands how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement connect; uses that understanding to validate results and explain impacts.
- KPI development and management: Defines meaningful measures, connects operational and financial indicators, and builds reporting that highlights trends, thresholds, and performance gaps.
- Dashboarding and data visualization: Creates clear visuals that tell the story quickly, emphasizing key messages, comparisons, and trends for senior management.
- Data management and analytical rigor: Maintains clean inputs, applies validation checks, reconciles to sources, and documents logic to reduce risk of errors.
- Investment return analysis (IRR, Multiples, NPV) and waterfalls: Interprets return metrics, explains drivers, and communicates how timing and assumptions affect outcomes.
- Valuation and DCF proforma understanding: Builds or interprets DCF-based valuation logic, articulating key assumptions and sensitivity impacts.
- Cash flow and working capital forecasting: Projects cash needs and timing, highlighting risks and actionable levers that affect liquidity.
- Organization and attention to detail: Produces accurate, timely, complete work by maintaining disciplined review processes and careful version control.
- Prioritization and deadline management: Plans work across recurring cycles and ad hoc demands, escalating risks early and delivering on commitments.

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
