Position Summary:
Our Toronto Canada office is in the process of building a talent pipeline for financial analysts supporting Revenue Management, Growth Finance, and FP&A functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide support for financial analysis of pricing and promotional related efforts for assigned customers
- Work with the sales team and ensure pricing actions are executed successfully, and trade spend is efficiently spent for the assigned customers
- Provide support for ad-hoc pricing/promotion related projects and analysis as requested by the Sales team
- Build and maintain models for trade spend optimization
- Support Integrated Business Planning process including the monthly forecast cycle, strategic and annual operating plans, while partnering with key stakeholders from all aspects of the business (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting)
- Assist on strategic planning, modeling, and preparation of management presentations and influence decision making
- Analyze financials and reports, provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision making, identify and explain variances in financial performance
- Routinely develop and analyze new product launch P&Ls
- Partner with cross functional teams on product launches, validating assumptions
- Perform additional ad-hoc analysis for leadership and analytics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required (in business related field preferred)
- +1 years' experience as a finance analyst required (CPG experience preferred)
- Prior experience in Revenue Management, FP&A, Category Finance, Corporate Finance related roles preferred
- Thorough understanding of the full P&L and associated metrics
- Advanced command of Microsoft Excel with ability to quickly learn analytical modeling tools and techniques
- Solid PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
- Ability to influence and negotiate with cross-functional team members.
- Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
