The Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) team is responsible for providing governance and oversight of AMEX’s regulatory reporting processes, with a focus on proactively identifying risks and control improvement opportunities to ensure reports remain accurate, complete, and compliant. This is achieved through Quality Assurance reviews, which include the following pillars:
- Process and controls testing
- Validation of reported data against regulatory instructions

ResponsibilitiesParticipate as a key member of the RRQA Analytics & Insights team by supporting the design, development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of data analytics that strengthen the RRQA program. A QA Financial Analyst – Analytics & Insights will leverage data, technology, and emerging capabilities (e.g., GenAI) to develop scalable analytics that provide meaningful insights, improve QA effectiveness, and help identify risks proactively.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of financial services processes, system infrastructure, and risk and control frameworks, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills. Specific responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain data analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Regulatory Reporting QA program.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, control gaps, and emerging risks that provide actionable insights to QA and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements, risks, controls, and data into effective analytical solutions, working closely with senior team members and business partners.
- Support the identification and implementation of new analytics opportunities that improve QA coverage, automate manual activities, and increase program maturity.
- Validate data sources, perform data quality assessments, and document analytics to ensure solutions are accurate, sustainable, and well governed.
- Collaborate with QA, regulatory reporting, technology, data governance, service management, and other relevant teams to understand business processes, acquire data, and support analytics initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating and applying emerging technologies and advanced analytical techniques (e.g., GenAI) to improve the team's capabilities and drive innovation.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations through clear visualizations, reporting, and presentations tailored to both technical and business audiences.
- Continuously expand knowledge of regulatory reporting, risk and control frameworks, data analytics, and industry best practices to enhance the team's analytical capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, audit, risk management, regulatory reporting, technology, data analytics, and/or other financial services functions.
- Hands-on experience developing analytics using data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms).
- Ability to translate business requirements, risks, controls, and processes into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
