The Role

CarepathRx transforms hospital pharmacy from a cost center into an active revenue generator through a powerful combination of technology, market-leading pharmacy services and wrap-around services.

Job Details:

CarepathRx is seeking a forward-thinking, experienced financial analyst to lead, develop and collaborate across the business in support of the growth. The Lead will develop and prepare the following reports for 28+ partners: quarterly business reviews; performance to budget; gross margin analytics by products, class, and payor; revenue/expense analyses, profitability and pricing models. They will assess and provide analysis of monthly and annual financial and non-financial metrics.  The work will be customer facing necessitates exactness and accessibility (through datalink interface). Their work product will receive high visibility and requires presentation/design skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the healthcare industry and approach project-based work with a proactive, high-energy mindset. This individual will feel confident enough in their technical skills to work independently but also possess the ability to work collaboratively with other groups around the business. Additionally, the individual must feel comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership/executive management.  This is an operationally based position reporting to the COO, with high contact with the finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Quarterly Business reviews for all partners

  • Drug Payor Analysis for all partners

  • Fee analysis, preparation, and models for negotiation

  • Prepare monthly analysis, commentary and reporting on financial results, profitability performance, revenue and sales activity, and related business KPIs

  • Collaborate and partner with internal teams to develop, track and analyze financial and non-financial metrics for key business units/functions

  • Produce analyses and models to assess client, service and business unit profitability and performance against objectives

  • Maintain staffing plans and forecasts across the business in line with planned productivity and investment initiatives

  • Aid in the development of pricing models and proforma analyses for client partners

  • Utilize BI tools to assess business information and identify meaningful insights into business performance

  • Prepare adhoc analyses and business cases to assess and support new investment, strategic and other business decisions

  • Monitor and analyze the competitive environment and market conditions to identify key trends, opportunities and risks to the business

  • Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of operations/finance, customer service, and, analytic strategies, and reporting tools

  • Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from business information

  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools

  • Strong quantative approach and ability to identify solutions to complex problems

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships

  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements

  • Knowledge of and ability to use and develop unique processes, tools and techniques for exploring financial performance, scenarios and drivers

  • Ability to work independently and bring innovative ideas to business leaders

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Over 5 years financial analysis and business experience

  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and developing reports and analysis within PowerBI (or a similar platform)

  • Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning preferred but not required

  • Healthcare industry experience is required

  • Experience presenting to senior leaders or executive management teams
