Position Summary: How will you make an impact?
The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive business decisions through effective analysis and communication with management while providing financial support for Marietta site operations. This position will focus on improving short and long-term profitability of the site by maintaining the site’s R&O (risks and opportunities) roadmap as defined by the annual operating plan. This is an exceptional growth opportunity for a highly motivated professional to add value to the site.
What will you do?
- Support month-end close responsibilities.
- Own daily and weekly KPI reporting and analysis to support visibility and leadership decision making.
- Develop reporting packages highlighting KPIs, operational metrics, business drivers, and key variances.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports detailing performance of key business metrics and underlying business drivers causing variances to expected results.
- Monthly revenue, cost, and expense analysis including detailed volume and mix analysis; monthly performance scorecards, site review package, and variances explanations vs. budget, prior year and prior quarter.
- Assist with development and presentation of monthly business reviews.
- Actively participate in and lead initiatives to improve execution and factory operational performance.
- Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, and communicate recommendations regarding financial plans and operating forecasts.
- Provide comprehensive finance support to enable delivery of productivity commitments (PPI).
- Assist with development and presentation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Plan (STRAP) for the site.
- Serve as liaison between the manufacturing site and Shared Services Accounts Payable team.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related business field will also be considered. Candidates with comparable experience will also be considered.
- 2-4 years of direct experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting preferably within a large, matrixed organization and/or operations environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, exercise good judgement, and prioritize projects and time effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning, career progression and development, embrace additional responsibilities and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities.
- Excel expertise with advanced knowledge of pivot tables, charts, formulas, and modelling, along with ability to mine large data sets.
- Experience in the use of ERP systems (preferably SAP or equivalent) and HFM
- Experience in the use of Oracle Hyperion Essbase (Planning 2.0)
- Self-starter - ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive business processes and performance improvement.
- Effective oral and written communication skills when dealing with all levels within our organization.
- Ability to communicate results and issues to impacted business units across the company in a timely manner.
