Under close supervision, this Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing fundamental financial analysis and support tasks. The Financial Analyst I involves gathering financial data, assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities, and applying basic financial concepts to support planning and control within the organization.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and summarizing financial data for planning and operational control
- Perform routine technical analyses to monitor current financial performance
- Support preparation of financial plans, operating forecasts, and acquisition activity reports
- Conduct basic economic and financial research under direction (e.g., working capital, depreciation)
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and apply standard accounting and financial practices
- Generate reports and presentations to support the finance team and management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect required data
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
- No experience necessary. Previous experience or relevant internship preferred but is not required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
- Basic understanding of financial planning and analysis principles
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting concepts
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to company policies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software applications
- Willingness to learn and collaborate within a team environment
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
