The Financial Analyst I supports corporate finance and audit activities while providing assistance to direct-to-consumer operations and accounting groups.
- Prepares period end closing activities including accruals, expense estimates, allocations, and other journal entries, with a strong focus on the direct-to-consumer business.
- Manages and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts. Reconciles retail store and eCommerce cash collections with sales.
- Records monthly transaction fees related to the direct-to-consumer business.
- Processes invoices and manages exceptions for retail store expenses and inventory purchases.
- Supports annual retail store physical inventory counts by coordinating count schedules, managing inventory systems, analyzing discrepancies, and recording results.
- Assists on special projects as needed. Assists in preparing audit documentation and responds to external auditor inquiries.
- Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years accounting or finance experience.
- Good communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels throughout the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
Working Conditions:
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
