Purpose/Job Function:
The Financial Analyst provides financial insights to the organization through trend analysis, development of client reporting and performance review. The Analyst supports organizational leadership through reporting improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Primary focus and responsibility for providing support for all Financial Planning & Advising (FP&A) activities.
- Supports the financial close with preparing forecasts, models, and analyses for revenue, expenses, metrics, KPIs, and other performance indicators.
- Maintains a working knowledge of current revenue recognition standards (i.e., ASC 606).
- Learns and executes PowerQuery, PowerBI and PowerAutomate to drive efficiencies in gathering and transforming disparate systems data sources into streamlined financial processes and output.
- Maintains and leverages current ERP reporting capabilities, table and field structure of the ERP's database.
- Assists with preparing the month-to-month forecasts and the annual budget.
- Prepares the weekly KPIs for the ELT and SLT calls.
- Updates monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages and presentations.
- Compiles and publishes the monthly Customer Activity Report (CAR).
- Updates and publishes the monthly New Revenue Report.
- Assist with the monthly manual billing as needed.
- Assist with the monthly commissions calculation, learning and becoming permanent full capability.
- Compiles and presents one production Business Unit monthly financial package and two support units (to be assigned Q4 2021).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Financial modeling knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Time-management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and flexibility to adjust priorities
- A fully signed and executed copy of the most current AFS Business Protection Agreement
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other related field of study required
- Two or more years in an FP&A role or similar function
- Advanced Excels skills required
- ERP experience preferred
- CMA or MBA a plus
Working Conditions: This position will sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time and may cause eye irritation or even muscle strain.
This position does not require any strenuous or physical activity.
Customary Work Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends for special events.
