The Role:

The Financial Analyst will be part of the European Finance team, based in Dublin and will play a key role in the oversight key of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.

The Financial Analyst will be heavily involved in the development & maintenance of financial forecasts for the company, while also analysing data to establish trends to inform decision making. This will also involve delivery of company & divisional level forecasts to management to assess expected performance against targets.

The role will focus on liaising with the business to translate qualitative and quantitative inputs into financial outcomes & presenting these in an understandable format whilst identifying key areas requiring attention.

The Financial Analyst will work on commercial analysis, supporting the regional entities around Europe fulfil the FNZ (Europe) DAC growth ambitions through the development of business cases and profitability analysis.

The FNZ (Europe) DAC business is strongly project focused as the business onboards new clients and services and the Financial Analyst will work to understand and track these projects, applying revenue recognition and capacity management principles to achieve the optimum financial outcome for each project.

The FNZ (Europe) DAC finance team is part of the global FNZ Finance function and is required to report monthly, quarterly and annual results and associated analysis to the FNZ Group. The Finance Analyst will be required to provide inputs to this process on an ongoing basis and work with our Finance colleagues globally to develop and improve systems and processes.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, the ability to work in a fast-moving-environment and the interpersonal skill required to interact regularly as a point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders. They will also:

  • Have a relevant accounting qualification, ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with either a number of years post-qualification or relevant industry based experience.

  • Excellent numerical and technical ability, with an ability to interrogate large amounts of data to present coherent outputs, using financial systems and MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to interpret and understand business issues & an ability to process and communicate important information under time pressure.

  • Have the ability, confidence and desire to challenge and re-engineer practices and processes as required.

  • Be highly motivated with an ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate flexibility

  • Be an excellent communicator who is willing and able to engage with various audiences including staff and management as part of their day to day duties.

  • Have a proven track record in working to tight timelines in a team environment.
