**Role will require travel to St. Louis site.

How you will make an impact:

The St. Louis site is a key biologics operation within the Drug Substance Division of the Pharma Services Group, supporting biologics drug substance manufacturing and related site operations. The Financial Analyst will be an integral member of the STL site finance team, supporting FP&A activities that enable strong financial performance, operational decision-making, and achievement of near- and long-term business objectives.

This role will partner closely with site leadership, operations, manufacturing, quality, engineering, procurement, and divisional finance teams to support OpEx, CapEx, forecasting, reporting, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and ad hoc financial analysis. The analyst will help translate operational activity into financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and drive improved visibility into site performance.

What you will do:

• Support monthly close, forecast, annual operating plan, and long-range planning activities for the STL Biologics site, with a focus on operating expense, capital spend, headcount, and site performance reporting.

• Analyze transactional, operational, and financial data to identify trends, variances, anomalies, accrual needs, reversals, and potential reporting issues to ensure accurate financial results.

• Develop, standardize, and improve recurring reporting packages and financial analyses to support Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, AOP, forecast cycles, and leadership decision-making.

• Prepare and maintain dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, financial models, and other business intelligence tools by mining data from SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, Excel, and other financial systems.

• Partner with functional leaders to understand key business drivers, operational assumptions, cost trends, project spend, and financial risks and opportunities.

• Support OpEx planning and analysis, including cost center reviews, spend tracking, forecast updates, variance commentary, and identification of productivity or cost-control opportunities.

• Support CapEx planning and reporting, including project spend tracking, forecast updates, cash flow timing, capital approval support, and variance analysis versus plan and forecast.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support site leadership, including operational performance, manufacturing cost drivers, resource planning, project prioritization, and investment decisions.

• Analyze profitability, cost trends, and operational drivers within the site, including manufacturing activity, capacity, productivity, and SIOP-related assumptions, to help identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

• Translate business inputs into financial assumptions and maintain forecast models that project future business trends, expenses, capital needs, and operational performance.

• Proactively learn and adopt new systems, tools, and reporting methods to improve analytics capability, forecast accuracy, and overall finance support for the site.

Requirements

• Advanced degree with no prior experience, or bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of financial planning and analysis, accounting, operations finance, or related finance experience.

• Experience in a large global company or highly matrixed organization preferred.

• Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, life sciences, pharmaceutical services, or biologics environments preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficient user of financial and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable business insights.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present information clearly, concisely, and effectively to finance and non-finance audiences.

• High attention to detail and commitment to consistently delivering accurate, high-quality work.

• Ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

• Good understanding of business processes, manufacturing operations, financial controls, and the ability to identify process or control weaknesses and recommend mitigation actions.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner across finance, operations, manufacturing, quality, engineering, procurement, and site leadership teams.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, ask thoughtful questions, investigate issues, and drive work to completion.

Travel requirements

• Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $66,000.00–$99,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
