Holman is currently accepting applications for the position of Financial Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis.

Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain the company’s long-term financial plan, integrating key business drivers and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual budget, working closely with various departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and update financial forecasts, providing variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts.
  • Compile and prepare deliverables used to present financial results to Senior Management, including detailed analysis and executive summaries.
  • Assist in the creation of presentations for executive review, and other strategic forums.
  • Perform various analytical tasks and special projects as assigned, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.
  • Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses to support business decisions and strategy development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of analytical tools and models for both project-specific and ongoing business needs.
  • Define, develop, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance.
  • Generate and deliver detailed reports on KPIs and metrics, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and reports, ensuring consistency and reliability of information.
  • Act as a financial resource and support to other business units, addressing queries and providing guidance as needed.

Pricing Analysis and Sales Team Advisement

  • Regularly assess product profitability by analyzing costs, revenues, and other relevant factors.
  • Update underlying assumptions such as cost structures, pricing models, and market trends to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on profitability analysis to optimize product performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to understand business needs and requirements related to internal pricing tools.
  • Provide support in the development, updating, and enhancement of pricing tools based on feedback and findings.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales leadership to ensure alignment between financial analysis and sales strategies.
  • Utilize Power BI to create comprehensive reports for management, highlighting key financial trends, patterns, and predictions.
  • Interpret data and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, supporting strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Analyze client profitability by evaluating revenue streams, costs, and resource allocations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining profitability metrics for individual clients.
  • Identify opportunities for improving profitability and provide recommendations to the business.
  • Engage in ad-hoc analytical tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
  • Experience with financial software such as Power BI, Excel, and other data analysis tools
  • Experience with ERP and financial modeling software
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
  • Collecting and analyzing raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information.
  • Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $64,090.00 - $92,925.00 CAD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
