Hybrid model 3 days per week in the office /2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Expense Administration Supervisor to join our Expense Administration Team.

Expense Administration team is responsible for invoice payments, preparation, review and delivery of management fees, budgets, TER, VAT filing, fund events and any other reporting in accordance with account­ing standards and clients’ expectations. The team has a client facing role and services clients from all around the world. The team utilizes newest technology solutions allowing for process automation and works closely with many internal departments and external stakeholders (management companies, investment managers and auditors) which gives a great opportunity to learn about investment funds and the way they operate.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day provision of Expense Administration services. Working closely with the Expense Administration Team Leader you will allocate tasks and workload to the team members and ensure the timely and high-quality preparation of deliverables.

 

Some of the key responsibilities include: 

  • Review and monitoring of invoice payments as well as handling complex invoicing queries

  • Management of preparation of monthly / quarterly deliverables i.e., management fees, budgets, TER, VAT filing, fund events and other reporting

  • Reviews all daily work performed by the team for completeness, accuracy and compliance with current policies and procedures

  • Responsibility for communication with clients / key stakeholders and senior management

  • Acting as a key client contact, ensuring timely and accurate responses to any client queries

  • Responsibility for coaching and developing team members

  • Providing appropriate feedback via periodic meetings and the firm’s performance appraisal process

  • Assisting in projects within Expense Administration Department including standardization and workload optimization to improve the efficiency, quality and accuracy of deliverables

Qualifications:

  • BA/MS degree and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial product accounting, fund accounting, or basic accounting and analysis preferred.

  • Prior supervisory experience min of 1 year

  • Very good English skills (B2+ level is a must).

  • Self-motivated, capable of monitoring and completing a variety of projects simultaneously.

  • Advanced knowledge of mutual fund products, multi-class accounting, and the components of an NAV.

  • Proven ability to work well in a deadline oriented, client-driven environment.

  • Maintain a leadership role by developing internal relationships with key people in other departments to accomplish goals and resolve issues.
