The Financial Analyst, Commercial Support is a key member of the Worldwide Distribution FP&A team, supporting the Executive Director, Finance, Commercial Support in the planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities across the Consumer Platforms & Services (CP&S) organization and Acquired Titles (3rd Party) portfolio. CP&S manages a growing portfolio of direct-to-consumer and digital distribution businesses, including Sony Pictures Core across multiple platforms, an expanding FAST channel portfolio, and other emerging consumer-facing streaming initiatives.
This role provides financial and analytical support for commercial initiatives, platform partnerships, digital distribution activities, content investments, and strategic business planning. The position works closely with Commercial, Business Operations, Accounting, Content Strategy, Corporate Finance, and regional stakeholders to deliver reporting, forecasting, and insights that support decision-making and drive business performance. The analyst will assist in managing financial models, preparing recurring reporting packages, supporting forecasting processes, evaluating platform and content performance, and identifying key trends across the CP&S and Acquired Titles portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director, Finance, Commercial Support in the preparation of forecasts, annual budgets, long-range plans, recurring management reporting, and the consolidation and validation of forecast, budget, and actual submissions across the CP&S organization, including forecasting, planning, and analysis of commercial performance across Sony Pictures Core, FAST channels, strategic platform partnerships, and emerging digital distribution initiatives, with a focus on key business drivers, advertising revenue, subscriber trends, engagement metrics, content performance, and other operational KPIs.
- Support forecasting, month-end close, reporting, pacing, accrual reviews, and variance analysis across the CP&S and Acquired Titles (3rd Party) portfolios in partnership with Accounting and other key stakeholders.
- Utilize and maintain financial models to support platform performance analysis, evaluation of business opportunities, and assessment of partner economics, monetization strategies, and commercial initiatives.
- Work with Content Strategy and key stakeholders to support 3rd Party title forecasting, title ultimates, content investment analysis, and evaluation of title performance, including amortization, acquisition costs, royalty obligations, profitability, and forecasting assumptions.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Business Operations, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and regional teams to analyze financial and operational results, identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and trends, and support reporting, performance tracking, and business decision-making across AVOD, SVOD, EST, and FAST business models.
- Support financial analysis related to the launch, expansion, and ongoing performance of FAST channels, strategic platform partnerships, and emerging consumer-facing streaming initiatives.
- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, planning systems, databases, and analytical tools that support financial and operational performance tracking, including advertising, subscriber, engagement, and content consumption metrics.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, consulting, business analysis, or related fields.
- Internship experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, or business analysis is a plus.
- Entertainment, media, technology, digital platform, streaming, or related industry experience is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated interest in digital media, streaming businesses, ad-supported and subscription-based services, content monetization, and data-driven business performance analysis.
- Experience with, coursework in, or passion for analyzing consumer, advertising, subscription, and digital performance metrics is a plus.
