Cook Medical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst 2 to join our Supply Chain team. This role provides critical financial support and analysis, primarily focusing on Customer Service & Distribution (CSD). Responsibilities- Partner with Supply Chain leadership to deliver proactive financial insights, actionable recommendations, and strategic guidance.
- Analyze and interpret financial results, trends, and variances, providing clear explanations and corrective actions.
- Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasts, and key metrics.
- Prepare and analyze financial KPIs and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead; support cost and margin reporting.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and documentation related to CSD activities.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate inventory management, periodic counts, variance reconciliation, and inventory optimization.
- Identify and implement process improvements leveraging analytics tools and best practices.
- Consolidate financial results, plans, and forecasts; support site-level financial strategies.
- Prepare and present financial information for executive leadership, boards, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the Global Manufacturing Operations Finance team by driving standardization and best practices.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and project management support to team members as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of operations finance experience, with strong knowledge of financial and non-financial metrics, LEAN manufacturing, and product costing.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of business processes, financial modeling, data analysis, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Power BI and Business Objects is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to influence peers and support decision-making.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions with reasonable accommodations.
