Financial Analyst - 1 Year Contract

What it’s like to be a Northbridge Financial Analyst

The Finance Analyst will work within a dynamic Finance team, with a mandate to execute key accounting and reporting processes to meet the needs of our shareholder and regulator.

You will be supporting our Finance Team on a project basis and assist with trouble shooting to arrive at necessary solutions to move projects forward while handling non-project financial reporting responsibilities. You will become a part of the key finance process as we transition into implementing IFRS-17 as the new accounting standard and work closely with our stakeholders.

We want your talent

If you are great at:

• Assessing and developing Financial Reporting policies and processes in the context of the new IFRS-17 Insurance Contracts accounting standard 

• Supporting key finance processes, including key monthly & quarterly reporting deliverables for our stakeholders

• Coordinating with other departments to ensure financial data and systems are updated in a timely manner and to improve productivity and customer service

• Becoming an expert in understanding and applying the new Business Intelligence Tool (PowerBI) to drive automation of processes

If you have:

• A degree in Accounting or a related field and 2-3 years of financial analysis experience

• Well-developed Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience working with and manipulating datasets

• Exposure working in accounting and financial reporting disciplines

• A motivated individual who is engaged in building and then sharing their knowledge in the new reporting process, data repositories, and BI tools
