Department OverviewMotorola Solutions Finance Operation Center is a department of Motorola in Kraków which gives you an opportunity to participate in the setup of the new organization. The center is a part of our global network of Finance Operation Centers (FOC) which provides world-class finance, accounting and purchasing services to Motorola branches in Europe, Middle East, Africa and US region. Business Finance team is responsible for analysis of financial reports, trends, risks and opportunities. We gather, interpret and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts. Business Finance department supports a wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations functions across Europe, Africa and North America region. We have several small subteams in Business Finance that's why our team is unique - almost each position in our team has a different scope. You will have the opportunity to understand how our company operates and improve your analytical skills.
Job Description
MBR R&D organization supports Plan and Outlook build-up across the departments.
Core responsibilities:
OPEX Reporting & Forecasting
Booking monthly entries for cross charges, accruals or prepayments
OPEX Plan
Budget Revisions
Organization's structure maintenance
Cost control
Financial Reporting and variance analysis (Monthly Budget vs Actuals vs Forecast analysis, Headcount analysis, FX impact)
Tableau results and trend visualization
Consolidation and Reporting: Consolidate and report on data related to Critical Communication Devices (CCD) to provide a comprehensive, holistic view of device status and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between site-level planning analysts and the CCD R&D Senior Leadership Team.
Financial Modeling: Partner directly with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute budget modeling exercises.
Strategic Scenario Planning: Analyze and present various funding scenarios to inform and support strategic decision-making.
Basic Requirements
5+ years of demonstrable finance experience in FP&A
Proven experience in data consolidation, reporting, and analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with financial data and develop detailed budget models.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across multiple levels, from analysts to senior leaders.
Experience in scenario planning or analysis for different funding or resource allocation models.
University degree in finance or accounting
Excellent English (spoken, written)
Good understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet
Advanced use of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau and Oracle
Prior experience with SmartView is a plus
Proactive and ‘can do’ attitude with drive to challenge status quo
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-starter and team player
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate late afternoon overlap with the US-based team, particularly during critical periods such as month-end close, CV periods, and budgeting cycles.
