Financial Aid Operations Coordinator

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott Office is seeking a Financial Aid Operations Coordinator. This vital role is key to managing systems and data, providing essential technical support to the Financial Aid Office. The position focuses on ensuring the smooth functionality and maintenance of computer software, while also involving system administration duties related to financial aid processing systems external to the University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform global financial aid processing using PeopleSoft (CS) software.
• Extract and analyze data from the CS System and data warehouse systems (Discover, Oracle OBIEE) for status reporting to University Administration.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for the Financial Aid Office's software systems.

Veterans Affairs Support:

This role also extends support to the Veterans Affairs Office at the Prescott Campus, particularly during peak times of the year. Responsibilities include:

• Application processing and enrollment review.
• Certification and tracking requirements.
• Reporting and annual audit preparation for the VA State Approving Agency/VA Regional Office.

This position is remote; however, candidates must acknowledge that the University may require a return to campus at any time.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree required.
•  Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work-related experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Strong business intelligence knowledge and report writing capabilities.
• Familiarity with querying information from a variety of database systems, such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, at an end-user analytical level.
• Proficiency with business intelligence systems like OBIEE and Microsoft Power BI tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and moderate efficiency with other common office-related software suites, such as Microsoft Word.
