The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain excellent customer service and helping our learners with the financial aid process. Other responsibilities include administration of the student financial aid office and its functions, creating and analyzing learners eligibility for a variety of aid programs, including but not limited to Title IV funding. Accurately provide financial aid estimates and packaging to new enrolling learners through collaboration with other financial positions. Ongoing assistance in the delivery of funds and services to new and current learners through correctly advising learners and parents regarding academic and career objectives in relation to financial aid throughout degree completion.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge, competence, and significant successful experience in financial aid

  • Proficient knowledge of applicable compliance laws (FERPA, etc.) and industry best practices

  • Ability to communicate orally clearly and accurately and in writing, complex and/or technical information within financial aid and other audiences

  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team, on multiple projects, within an environment that can be fast paced

  • Must possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent customer services skills demonstrated verbally and through professional written communication

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability

  • Ability to quickly adapt and deploy unfamiliar technologies quickly and effectively

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt to change in policy and procedures easily
