As a Financial Adviser at Skipton, you’ll help customers feel more confident about their financial future. You’ll build trusted relationships, take time to understand what matters to each customer, and provide personalised advice across investments and pensions.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive Financial Advice team, with quality referrals from our branch colleagues and head office teams. That means you can focus on what you do best: giving clear, expert advice and helping customers make informed decisions about their life ahead.

You’ll bring strong financial services experience, detailed regulatory knowledge and a Diploma qualification. Just as importantly, you’ll know how to balance commercial focus with doing the right thing for customers, supported by clear risk management and quality standards.

At Skipton, we're founded on fairness. We exist to do right by our members - and we believe that starts with doing right by our people. So whoever you are and whatever you bring, there's a place for you here and a genuine plan for where you go next.

What You’ll Do

We’re here to make our members’ money work harder. But it takes more than one kind of role to make that happen. Across our Money team, you’ll find people supporting savings, investments and financial advice, alongside the teams behind the scenes who keep things moving, spot what could work better, and help turn good ideas into practical change.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building trusted relationships with new and existing customers, helping them explore their financial goals, needs and priorities

  • Providing personalised advice across pensions and investments, with a clear focus on good customer outcomes

  • Holding meaningful customer conversations that explore their circumstances, preferences and future plans.

  • Maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and risk management in every customer interaction

  • Using your commercial focus to support business objectives while making sure advice remains fair, suitable and customer-led

What You’ll Need

  • A Level 4 Diploma qualification in financial planning or regulated financial advice

  • Experience providing regulated financial advice, ideally across pensions and investments

  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulation, quality standards and risk management

  • Experience having detailed customer conversations about financial goals, personal circumstances, preferences and future plans

  • A clear customer focus, with the judgement to balance commercial objectives with fair and suitable outcomes

  • A confident, clear and supportive communication style, with the ability to explain complex information in a simple way

  • Flexibility to work from home and, where needed, from a local branch or Skipton head office

And the way we reward you matters, too.

At Skipton, we offer pay and benefits that really do make life better, together with a genuine thank you for making a difference.

  • Flexible working to help balance your commitments

  • Private medical insurance, health and wellbeing app, volunteering opportunities, cycle-to-work scheme, discounted gym memberships
