Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Financial Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the proper recording and reporting of the firm’s financial transactions. The ideal candidate must be organized and conscientious, an effective communicator, and a motivated self‐starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and produce results.


We will consider applicants who will work a hybrid schedule of at least two days a week in one of our listed office locations.

As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Preparation and review of recurring and non‐recurring journal entries, inclusive of the month‐end close process
  • Preparation and review of the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and analysis of P&L accounts
  • Preparation and review of month‐end and ad‐hoc financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Review of leases for the preparation of straight line rent schedules and ad‐hoc reporting
  • Preparation and review of financial data and related schedules needed for firm’s tax accountant and other tax related matters
  • Cash and treasury management, inclusive of monitoring and execution of electronic payments and cash flow forecasting
  • Responding to assigned help desk tickets related to core responsibilities
  • Open to expansion of work responsibilities to support growth and development goals
  • Cross train in other duties in order to provide backup to team members as needed
  • Performance of ad‐hoc analysis and special projects, as needed
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies and procedures and the establishment and monitoring of internal controls associated with core responsibilities and associated systems
  • Participate in the implementation, enhancement, and/or upgrades of the systems associated with core responsibilities
  • Upholding customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minor in Accounting accepted)
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience – minimum 2 years in auditing/public accounting
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP formula, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to produce accurate results
  • Demonstrates sound professional judgment and strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience with partnership accounting highly desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP preferred
  • CPA licensed or CPA candidate preferred

This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000.
