We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth. This is more than a reporting role — it’s an opportunity to partner closely with operations, influence decision-making, and contribute to a growing, purpose-led organisation with a strong presence across Western Australia.

Key Performance Outputs

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements 
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entry review and approvals 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and stock movements across sites 
  • Ensure inventory and budgetary adjustments are reflected appropriately 
  • Review and correct GL allocations; assess provision and accrual needs 
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register; run monthly depreciation 
  • Conduct on-site verification of stock counts with farm-based teams 
  • Draft dashboard reporting and assist with cash flow analysis for Treasury 
  • Support BAS, ATO returns, and assist with external audits 
  • Investigate outstanding purchase orders and system discrepancies 
  • Cross-check and release creditors’ payments 
  • Manage and evaluate foreign currency transactions and balance

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential) 
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently enrolled and progressing toward certification (preferred) 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar role 
  • Valid Australian driver’s license 
  • Willingness to travel to farm sites within WA (day travel)
  • This is a split role, typically spending part of the week in the Perth office and part on-site at farms within day-travel distance
Functional / Technical
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous)
  • Ability to work across complex, multi-site environments (agribusiness experience a plus)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical capability

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous)
