About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to manage end-to-end financial accounting and reporting activities. This role is responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial results, strong controls and compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements. You will play a key role in financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, audit support and continuous improvement, partnering closely with internal and regional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Maintain balance sheet integrity, including intercompany balances and complex reconciliations
- Account for payroll, commissions, bonuses, leave provisions and IFRS16 leases
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards and commentary for stakeholders
- Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow results
- Support tax, statutory reporting and audit processes (ATO, APRA, ABS)
- Approve payments within delegated authority
- Contribute to improving financial controls, policies and processes
To be successful in this role:
About You
- CA/CPA qualified
- 3–4+ years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Australian tax (GST, FBT, Income Tax)
- Proven ability to resolve complex reconciliation issues
- Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused
- Strong communicator and collaborative team player
- Technology industry experience is advantageous but not essential
This is a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract
