As a Financial Accountant (d/f/m) your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Monitoring AP/AR cycles, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinating the financial reporting of subsidiaries and perform consolidation processes
- Analyzing financial data and provide insights to management on performance and financial health
- Maintaining and improving accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- Ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
What you will need to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or in Business Administration with a corresponding focus.
- At least two years of working experience in an audit firm
- Very good knowledge of accounting principles (HGB & IFRS or US-GAAP) and financial statements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP (ideally, NetSuite)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German & English) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse large sets of data
- High sense of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Continuous improvement & development mindset — always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency, and a never stop growing mentality
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
