The Impact you’ll have as a Financial Accountant

We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to play an integral role in our finance team, gaining hands-on experience whilst actively leading on balance sheet reconciliations, external audit, payroll accounting and cash management.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to grow within a company at the forefront of payments who want to deepen their understanding of accounting principles. 

What you’ll be doing as a Financial Accountant

  • Analysing financial data to identify trends and inform decision-making, contributing to commercial insights that drive efficiency and performance
  • Supporting controllers and tax teams with journal entry input and reconciliation, contributing to accurate financial forecasting and planning
  • Ensuring rigorous balance sheet reconciliations and adhering to internal month-end close procedures
  • Leading preparation and organisation of documentation for internal and external audits, safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Upholding internal control standards and supporting the implementation of best practices in financial compliance
  • Utilising NetSuite to manage ledgers and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with month-end closing timelines
  • Leading statutory audits for local entities, partnering with external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit standards and local accounting regulations
  • Managing multiple priorities across tax, payroll, reporting and audit support to meet strict internal deadlines

What you’ll bring to the Financial Accountant position

  • Experience working in an Accountant related position
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
  • Experience working with or supporting external audit
  • Proficient in using intermediate-advanced Excel functions for financial modelling, data reconciliation and reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communicator who is able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders and take the initiative to follow up on outstanding tasks
  • Meticulous attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting whilst working in a fast-paced FinTech environment
  • Experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets
  • A strong willingness to learn and grow

Where you’ll work

Our working model varies depending on the specific role and team requirements. We strive to provide flexibility whilst ensuring that each position is best supported for optimal collaboration and performance.

This Financial Accountant position requires you to be in the London office (Holborn) at least two days per week.
