We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team based in our Auckland CBD office. You'll enjoy 2 days WFH each week, although you may need to join forces with your team in the office more during month end. What will you do?
- Your role: Support the Senior Financial Accountant, Group Senior Accountant & Group Financial Controller (your new manager) in the delivery of high-quality financial processes.
- You'll maintain financial records of the group and take care of cash management, compliance and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders:
- Prepare monthly AP, AR & Payroll reports.
- Consolidation of monthly P&L and balance sheet, accounting for foreign exchange movements.
- Maintain deferred revenue balance to ensure correct revenue recognition.
- Review and approve monthly invoices and issue invoices as required.
- Collaborate with your team on the preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS.
- Assist in drafting customer specific reports needed for invoicing, along with other ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process & system improvements.
- Tools: Excel, Xero, ApprovalMax.

What are we looking for?
- You'll either be working towards your CA/CPA qualification or already have it.
- Practical financial accounting experience including a solid understanding of accrual accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Solid organizational skills including the ability to determine priorities, meet regular deadlines and take follow up action when needed.
- Knowledge of standards such as IFRS 15 & 16.
