Financial Accountant

The Role

This is a great time join our business as we go through a transition period with our new Shareholders. We have a great opportunity for a finance professional to join our growing Finance Team. Reporting in to the CFO, you will take responsibility for the technical accounting & financial controls at group level. This role would suit someone who is wanting to move away from practice or may have already made that move and now looking for your next challenge in a fast paced global SME.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall management of accounting operations for our European entities
• Consolidation of financials for group P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow – reporting to Shareholders 45 days post quarter end.
• Management of payroll, expenses, cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT and tax
• Provide weekly TWCF forecasts.
• Oversee the management of cash flow and debt collection.
• Oversee management of procurement processes.
• Oversee the customer invoicing processes.
• Develop and work with the our outsourced shared service centre to improve efficiencies.
• Management of compliance and audit processes & procedures
• Work closely with the CFO and the wider Finance Team on special projects including scale up and development of the ERP / MRP / Reporting systems.

Ideally you’ll have/be:

• Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA
• Solid understanding of accounting principles particularly in consolidations and cash flows
• Experience in a PE backed SME business.
• Willingness to pick up projects alongside business as usual duties.
• Excellent doer who can make things happen; with strong attention to detail
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Resilient and tenacious; comfortable working to deadlines
