As Financial Accountant (EMEA) in the Riot Games Dublin office you will support senior leadership in Europe by managing reporting, compliance and processes. You will handle preparation of statutory statements and assist with annual fiscal audits in an EMEA environment with a broad awareness of financial and legal implications. You will report to the Accounting Manager. Your rock-solid judgment and integrity will help you keep everyone on the right track while you work to set up and maintain best-in-class processes and systems.
This role will be based in the Dublin City Centre office on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:- Participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting, including building journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reporting packages, answering questions
from the central accounting team and researching and resolving discrepancies. - Drive the entire year-end financial process including coordination with the external audit team, tax advisors and sign-off on the local financial statements across all jurisdictions.
- Responsible for a number of Riot subsidiary companies and their compliance. This will require cross collaboration across various teams such as Talent, Legal, Treasury and others.
- Research unusual transactions and follow up with other groups to get more information. Discuss the findings with the accounting team to conclude on the proper accounting treatment.
- Maintain a tight monthly reporting schedule according to established time-frames
- Investigate fluctuations and monitor trends in the accounts. Work with other teams to gain a deep understanding of the story behind the movements.
- Speak for the numbers, answering finance-related questions through exploratory data analyses and ad-hoc reporting.
- This role requires a high attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and inform business decisions.
- You have clear and fact driven communication skills and know how to keep stakeholders informed and working towards your end goals.
- You have bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or equivalent.
- You can create reports and analyses using Excel and associated accounting software like Oracle.
- Big 4 or mid-tier trained in audit. Post qualification experience and/or experience with month-end reporting is beneficial but not required.
- It would be a bonus if you have experienced the year-end financial process including coordination with the external audit team, tax advisors and sign-off on the local financial statements across all jurisdictions.
- Experience in payroll would also be a bonus.
