Financial Accountant

Working as part of the global accounting team, this role will support Rimes’ continued growth by helping ensure our regional entities are well controlled, efficiently run, and aligned with the company’s wider strategic goals, while also maintaining internal and external stakeholder relations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage Local Books and Records for all APAC subsidiaries (incl. Singapore, the Philippines and Australia): Oversee and maintain accurate financial records. 
• Lead Statutory Financial Reporting: Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements for the APAC region. Key point of contact for audit firms. 
• Management Reporting: Produce and analyse management accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and provide insightful group management reporting. 
• Bank Account and Payment Management: Manage local bank accounts and payments. Maintain efficient invoice processes for the global AP team. 
• Sales Tax Compliance: Deliver returns and ensure necessary documentation adheres to local requirements. Support Global Head of Tax with local tax reporting and filing. 
• Financial Administration and Operations: Perform and take ownership for administrative tasks meticulously and comprehensively. 
• Other ad hoc projects: Support and contribute to strategic ad hoc projects, working cross-functionally with Operations, IT and HR. e.g. ERP implementation support, enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities, assist with Philippines tax exemption project etc. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA). 
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment. 
• Experience working with local and international financial regulations and proficient in managing financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. 
• Strong knowledge of local financial regulations and statutory requirements in the Philippines and Singapore. Knowledge of regulations and statutory requirements in Australia desired but not essential. 
• Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems and Excel. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• High level of integrity and attention to detail. 

Working Hours: 13:00 to 22:00 PhST, Monday to Friday
