What you will do. A glimpse in your role:
As a Financial GL Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. You’ll work closely with cross-functional finance teams to support standard processes and contribute to key projects, helping maintain the financial integrity and compliance of the organization.

Perform general ledger postings with full supporting documentation (IFRS 15 & IFRS 16 focus).
Maintain asset reconciliations and coordinate inventory counts with local teams.
Handle payroll accounting and partner with HR to explain variances.
Calculate intercompany recharges and collaborate with FP&A on trend analysis.
Manage accruals, month-end activities, and account reconciliations (P&L & balance sheet).
Support statutory year-end closing activities.
Prepare reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for management.
Address accounting queries and resolve issues independently.
Ensure SOX controls are prepared, reviewed, and followed.
Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives within finance.
Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if:
Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
Experience with SOX controls and general ledger processes
4–5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in a multinational or Shared Services setup
Degree in Finance or Economics (ACCA certification a plus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with high accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive, independent, and eager to learn
Team player with resilience and flexibility
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
Location and Eligibility:
📍 Location: Slovakia (Hybrid working model: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote)
