Financial Accountant (f/m/d)

Job Description

We are looking for an Account to take on the responsibility of performing general accounting activities for Bose Automotive Germany, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.

You will prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

Responsibilities

Financial reporting and accounting

• Understand Bose Automotive sales finance impact of systems initiatives and provide input as appropriate.
• Understand local impact of new accounting standards and provide input for global accounting policies.
• Work with external auditors on understanding the audit approach and determining the most effective and efficient way to meet testing requirements. 
• Manage the preparation of schedules (PBC’s) for the annual audit. Coordinate with external auditors and internal resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Support preparation of the statutory financial statements and annual reports.
• Coordinate with tower lead in global business services (GBS).

• Assists in the documentation of accounting projects
• Prepare or review journal entries for country specific accruals, tax provision, bonus, and pension accounting.
• Provide guidance for transactions processed by GBS.  Approve reconciliations prepared by GBS teams.

Tax

• Supporting Indirect tax team VAT, Intrastat, Local German tax reporting and audits.
• Coordinate preparation of the corporate income tax filings and estimated payments.
• Support requests from the Global Tax department.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting role. Experience may also include public accounting.  Good understanding of local GAAP and proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Education: Degree in Finance or Accounting, Part Qualified Accountant.
• Fluent in German and good level of English.
