Overview
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Vice President of Tax and Treasury is responsible for leading and overseeing the Company's tax function, including managing external tax advisors, and for overseeing treasury. The role is responsible for tax strategy, planning and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and International tax regulations; design and maintain optimal tax policies and structures; and drive accurate tax accounting and reporting processes and controls.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for global tax strategy including planning and structuring for U.S. and International
- Involved in M&A activities and deal structuring
- Responsible for compliance with ASC 740/US GAAP; coordinate and manage quarterly and year-end global tax provision, and financial statement disclosures, prepared by outsourced team
- Establish and maintain TFR pricing and handle tax controversy issues as needed
- Direct supervision of global tax compliance
- Manage Federal, State, Local tax return filings, including Income, Sales & Use, and Property taxes
- R&D tax credits
- Involved in equity compensation e.g. ISO/NSO/RSUs/ESPP strategy and tax implications
- Establish global treasury strategies and manage global treasury team
- Build and lead a high performing team
Required Qualifications
- BS in Accounting or related field and either CPA/MST or JD
- 15+ years of overall experience including a mix of Big 4 AND public company experience
- Experience with International and TFR pricing
- Experience with M&A activities and deal structuring
- Experience with ASC 740/US GAAP, global tax provision and financial statement disclosures
- Experience with the preparation of all tax information required for SEC reporting, tax return filings, audits, estimated tax payments, projection of tax/cash and tax forecast modeling
- Experience with equity plan strategy and tax implications
- Experience with US Federal and State tax compliance
- Experience with compliance and research tools
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to multitask in high-energy, dynamic organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with IPO Readiness a strong plus
