Job Description:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the allocation and invoicing of all RaceTrac and RaceWay receivables. This individual handles the ongoing reconciliations for outside vendors and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all rebates have been accurately captured in the various rebate reporting tools
• Accrues monthly rebates calculated and bill at the correct intervals to vendors and brokers
• Invoices vendors and brokers based on terms negotiated
• Collects on invoices that fall between 30-60 days and inform internal departments of any invoices that have aged past 61 days
• Completes various month-end duties including calculation of rebate allocations, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ensures that invoices correctly reflect the contracted terms between vendors and brokers
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
• Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with multiple internal departments and outside vendors

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-3 years accounting experience
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
