Staff Accountant

As our Staff Accountant, you’ll work as an integral part of the business. Boingo connects our users to the people and things they love – by building, owning and operating the highest quality wireless networks at a variety of venues around the country and across the glove.  Our accounting team works hand-in-glove with the entire business in a dynamic, evolving industry (did you say 5G? Yep - we do that!). The Boingo accounting team has a strong track record of supporting professional growth and promoting from within. Responsibilities

• Review propriety of project costs that have been capitalized and analyzing use tax
• Process fixed assets additions and adjustments
• Review contracts and prepare revenue schedules
• Assist with month end close including, but not limited to, preparing recurring and adjusting journal entries for revenues and cost accruals, and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations including analysis of account changes
• Work closely with multiple departments to ensure all transactions are accounted for timely and in accordance with US GAAP
• Perform and/or prepare ad hoc analysis, tasks and reports.

Requirements 

• Minimum 2-3 years of progressive general accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail required
• Strong work ethic and goal oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment, with a sense of urgency
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTable, Macros, etc.)
• Oracle Fusion experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Experience in a telecommunications industry preferred
