We are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Konami Team!
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for administering all aspects of payroll, travel and expense and accounting duties related to core responsibilities including temporary labor and employee benefits. Primary responsibility of this role is ensuring the timely and accurate processing for all employee services functions of payroll, benefit deductions, and any all payroll tax matters. This position reports into Accounting/Finance and collaborates with Human Resources for payroll issues related to employee relations.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for accounting practices, processes, and policies relating to payroll, employee benefits and temporary labor.
- Produces timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll through payroll and time and attendance system including processing manual checks, inputting employee changes, tracking hours worked, and maintaining hours based on KGI compensation plan designs.
- In conjunction with KGI management, this role is responsible for processing and verifying bi-weekly electronic employee timesheets for accuracy and compliance with applicable state/federal requirements.
- In conjunction with third party payroll, verifies monthly, quarterly and annual federal and state tax reports.
- Performs annual W-2 processing including maintaining year to date adjustments that impact reporting.
- Maintains a working knowledge of current federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge of all federal and state tax regulations relating to payroll. Contacts state authorities when required to establish the payment of state taxes when new hires are made in states where the company does not have current established accounts.
- Research state and federal tax regulations to resolve payroll tax related issues.
- Researches, prepares root-cause analysis and coordinates with payroll system and Human Resources to resolve employee payroll issues. Escalates unusual or complicated pay situations to management especially if the issue interfaces with the HR system.
- Responsible for payroll portion of the 401k administration via reporting, contribution management, and calculation of employer match.
- Responsible for verification and processing of the integrated invoicing with HR and third party benefit representatives to ensure accuracy in monthly billing/payment.
- Participates in system upgrades and changes including maintenance of tables and adjustments to the time and labor processing system as needed.
- Responsible for the review, audit, and payment of employee expense reports per company policy and IRS regulations.
- Supports employee expense reimbursement via collaboration with accounting staff.
- Accurately calculate and record journal entry for all bonuses.
- Accurately compiles accruals, taxes and processes sales commission data on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for reporting and compensation on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for working with Human Resources to support metrics and report requests based on business requests for Accounting/Finance, Compliance or Executive Management.
- Acts as a liaison between Accounting, Human Resources, IT departments, external auditors and outside vendors.
- Responsible for bi-weekly, monthly, and annual review/audit of accruals, deductions, and pay as directed by Accounting/Finance Management.
- Undertakes special projects and tasks as required.
What we want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of demonstrated payroll administration experience in a fast paced/complex environment.
- Payroll designation/ certifications, such as a CPP designation highly desired.
- Advanced knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of UltiPro, ADP or comparable payroll processing system.
- Must be able to obtain and retain Gaming licensure(s).
This position is located in our Las Vegas, NV office. Remote and relocation are not available for this role.
