Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a passionate Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our expanding Financial Reporting and Consolidations team based in our Plantation, FL headquarters. This will report to our Associate Director, Financial Reporting. This is an important position on the team that leads and help prepare all deliverables and supporting analysis for external SEC reporting for Chewy's consolidated financial statements. You will participate in all aspects of our financial reporting and consolidation process and gain invaluable experience as we navigate the fast-growing and evolving e-Commerce industry. You will play an important role in a world-class reporting team by promoting collaboration, innovation, and business expertise.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare disclosures and related support for quarterly and annual financial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

  • Help prepare consolidated financial reporting journal entries and deliverables on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Perform analysis, make recommendations, and participate in discussions pertaining consolidation matters

  • Understand the impact of intercompany transactions and related team goals; ensure accounting reflects intended intercompany outcomes, the substance of transactions, and complies with GAAP and legal requirements

  • Prepare benchmarking and other deliverables to be shared with leadership on standard updates released by the FASB, SEC, and Big 4 Firm content to keep a pulse on recently implemented reporting requirements. Also maintain recurring benchmarking for multiple large accelerated filers

  • Support the preparation and review of Investor Relations and Audit Committee presentation materials

  • Identify process improvements and lead several efficiency projects

  • Support decisions with financial information and analysis

  • Prepare year-end and quarter-end audit schedules; work with internal and external auditors

  • Prepare periodic, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements and other support for meetings with business partners

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls over important financial reporting and consolidation processes

  • Review and analysis of financial statements and metrics

  • Provide accounting support to multiple partners across the organization

  • Participate in other projects and ad-hoc analyses and reports

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance & CPA (CPA required)

  • 3+ years of accounting and/or SEC reporting experience

  • Technical accounting and financial analytical skills

  • Proficient in reviewing work before submission

  • Strong MS excel (can perform complex functions) skills

Bonus:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP and/or FCCS, Workiva WDesk, and XBRL

  • Prior experience with Big 4, global company or the SEC

  • Prior experience with intercompany/consolidation and related processes
