Fiskars is searching for a Sr. Financial Accountant to join our amazing team in Middleton, Wisconsin!

About the Role:

The Sr. Financial Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities in the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliation and reporting. This role will play a significant role in the month-end close process, and assist in preparing consolidated financial reporting within the global organization. In addition they will help review and analyze important variances from cost forecasts or budgets providing detailed financial information and data as need to assist management in making decisions that will drive the needs of the business

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Verify and maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reconciling all accounts on a monthly basis and reporting balances to proper management, and helping assure compliance with IFRS accounting standards
  • Assist with the monthly financial reporting process (HFM) to Corporate office; working with them to resolve issues, etc.
  • Coordinate month-end close activities including journal entries and month-end account reconciliations. Issue monthly reports
  • Assist in creation of annual budget and monthly financial forecasting procedures. Prepare required reports to assure compliance with governmental reporting requirements, and annual audit procedures
  • Provide various reports and data as needed to management, and other functions both within the organization and external partners/organizations



What You Can Bring to the Organization:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive general accounting experience
  • Solid organization and interpersonal (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of general ledger software
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Must have excellent general ledger, accounts payable and control skills
  • Must have knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Must be well-versed with Microsoft products and ERP systems
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills



This position is out of our Middleton office and will be a Hybrid (onsite/remote) role.
