Responsibilities
Position will work closely with FP&A and general ledger accounting functions; create, maintain and analyze manufacturing and other internal reports; participate in the month-end closing process; participate in the implementation and training of new ERP system; and assist with account research and special projects as required. Duties will include:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of internal reports, including forecasts, budgets, and allocations.
- Assist with the reconciliation of physical inventory to the general ledger and the maintenance of average costs for inventory parts.
- Review and approve purchase orders for budgetary compliance.
- Make manufacturing labor adjustments for payroll.
- Review and approve A/P vouchers and reconcile A/P open receivers report.
- Assist with preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for monthly internal financial reports.
- Review and analyze invoicing for compliance with new revenue recognition standards.
- Prepare schedules and provide assistance in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns.
- Participate in meetings and training for new ERP implementation.
- Special projects as may be required or assigned
Qualifications
- Must have strong PC skills; Excel and Word.
- Must have the ability to develop spreadsheet models and related graphs.
- Must have strong communication skills with the ability to deal with personnel throughout the organization.
Education/Experience
- BS in Accounting or Finance required, Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience preferably with a manufacturing/distribution company.
- Must have strong PC skills; Excel and Word.
- Must have knowledge and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems.
