Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in trading, reporting or a relevant role
• Experience with financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience with mortgage servicing rate (MSR) valuation
• Experience in prepayment and default modeling and related third party models
• Knowledge of MSR interest rate risk management
• Bachelor's degree in finance, math, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in mortgage industry
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
• Advanced knowledge of SQL skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel modeling

Job Summary

As a Senior Capital Markets Analyst, you will analyze business information and trends to inform or make strategic and/or trading decisions. To succeed in this role, you will need to have deep knowledge of financial analysis and default modeling and work to improve MSR hedge strategy while executing those strategies based on your findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quantitative/analytic model or tools that estimate the changes in value of various mortgage assets
• Design and implement improvements to MSR pricing valuation
• Analyze and summarize data, identify trends and concerns and recommend actions as necessary
• Create and publish daily team reports based on findings
• Drive pricing decisions with limited direction
• Develop and calibrate prepayment and credit models used in MSR cash flow valuation
• Manage MSR interest rate risk models, formulating and recommending MSR hedge strategies
• Analyze daily MSR risk and P&L reports to ensure MSR hedges are performing as expected
• Develop and monitor controls related to the valuation of the MSR asset
• Serve as a mentor to junior analysts
