Role Summary

This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for monthly accounting for the parent companies, management reporting for Corporate segment, as well as quarterly 10Q/10K reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly close for the parent companies.
  • Responsible for Monthly Operating Results (MOR) for Corporate segment, including analysis, reconciliations, and research of actual vs projection variances.
  • Support preparation of quarterly Statements of Cash Flow and related analysis.
  • Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for Cigna Corporation, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
  • Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.
  • Participate in special projects such as the adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, debt transactions, etc.
  • Support SOX compliance and external audit processes



Qualifications

  • CPA designation preferred
  • Prior experience in public and/or corporate accounting
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills



For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $77,500 - $129,100, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
